iPhone 14 Pro Max -9.4

The iPhone 14 Pro Max is the first Xataka phone to get a 9.4. It is, in general terms, one of the most complete on the market , with a great balance between battery, power, screen and camera. A mobile whose price will take it away from enough pockets, but which comes with the ambition of being the best phone of 2023.

iPhone 14 Pro-9.3

With a little less note, mainly because it has a smaller battery, we find the iPhone 14 Pro . It's exactly the same as the Pro Max model, albeit with a 6.1-inch screen and smaller battery. One of the few high-end compact mobiles .

The OPPO Find X5 Pro is quite a hit on the table. It represents a refinement with respect to the OPPO Find X3 Pro , maintaining the best of the previous model and improving the camera, power and fast charging systems. Firm candidate for king of the crown on Android , with the only sin of not being the most ambitious of the moment in zoom.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra-9.3

Samsung Galaxy S22+ -9.1

The Samsung Galaxy S22+ is Samsung's high-end alternative for those who are not looking for a gigantic terminal. It is relatively compact , shares power and a good part of the specifications with its older brother, with the main sacrifice of having a somewhat smaller panel and a less ambitious camera system (but almost as versatile).

• The materials are at the height of a "premium" range.
• The sound is a delight.
• Very good photographic experience.

Against

• Raising the fast charge to 45 W and the mobile coming without a charger is a clear detriment to the user.
• The vertical scrolling on the screen leaves something to be desired.
• The processor does not live up to expectations in raw power.

Google Pixel 6-9.1

Interestingly, we liked the Google Pixel 6 better than the Pro variant . It shares a camera (except for the telephoto lens), a processor, its screen is not far behind despite being Full HD+ and it is noticeably better in two aspects. The first is the battery, a point at which the Pixel 6 Pro kneels, while the Pixel 6 stands out. And the second is the stability of the system , finding ourselves before a Pixel 6 with a lower error rate and problems in general.

• The camera is superlative: photos are usually excellent, even at night.
• Very good autonomy.
• Solid, robust and with a great feeling of quality.

• The screen frames are generous.
• The Google Tensor is not up to the high end in peak performance.
• Flare can spoil photos taken against the light.

ASUS Zenfone 9 -9.0

Although it is a great unknown, the ASUS Zenfone 9 is one of the best compact phones you can buy . A much smaller terminal than usual, with the best Qualcomm processor and a photographic section that more than meets the mark. Little more can be asked of it, considering that it costs considerably less than its rivals.

Against

• The processing in photography can improve.
• It is somewhat thick and the cameras protrude a lot.
• Fast charging is a bit slow for the range.

Vivo X80 Pro-9.0

The Vivo X80 Pro is one of the best high-end Chinese phones . A beast in power, design and photography that is not afraid to compete against the best in the high range.

• Although the operation is good, the software still has aspects to polish.

Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro-9.0

The Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro is a beast for gamers , with the best processor on the market, a spectacular ventilation system and a number of accessories that make it a unique proposition. It took the outstanding in our analysis.

Google Pixel 6 Pro-9.0

Google has laid all the cards on the table with its Pixel 6 Pro . A phone that finally competes head-to-head with the best on the market, that conquers again for its camera and that comes with a Quad HD+ panel with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. In this generation we do have sales in Spain.

• Auto brightness is a mess.
• Several uncorrected bugs.
• Autonomy is a fair thing.

iPhone 14 -8.9

At the height of rivals like the Pixel 6a, we find the iPhone 14 . Being a complete rehash of the previous model has not benefited it too much. It is still a complete mobile with good specifications, but there are not many arguments to buy it compared to the models of the last generation.

In favor

• Without being strictly compact, it is light.
• The screen and the sound give a very good experience.
• iOS 16 is stable and smooth (and a bit more customizable).

Against

• There are some improvements that we miss with no apparent hardware limitation, like ProMotion or some camera features.
• The wide angle is the ballast of what could be a much more solvent set of cameras.
• Despite the fact that the processor is more than enough, being born with one of the previous generation means "staying old" a year earlier (than the Pro in this case).

Google Pixel 6a -8.9

The cheapest version of the Pixel 6 is also the most greedy. It costs 459 euros, has the same processor and design as its older brother , and gives up both the high refresh rate and the new Pixel 6 camera sensor. The photographic results, however, are quite similar, and we can say that In its price range there is no better camera.

• The design is superlative.
• The cameras behave outstandingly, the best we have tested.
• The screen hardly has any room for improvement.

Against

• The battery does not come up to date as soon as we give it some cane.
• MIUI 13 does not respect Material You and comes with many bugs.
• The "proximity sensor" works especially poorly on this model.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4-8.8

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 is, with high probability, the best folding mobile you can buy right now. It is not a great evolution compared to its predecessor, but it opens a better external screen format and slightly improves the photographic section. As long as the pocket allows it, it is a more than interesting option.

• Beyond the inner crease, the build quality is exquisite.

• The crease refuses to go away.
• The camera under the screen is not the best idea.
• Autonomy remains weak.

Motorola Edge 30 Pro-8.8

One of the great covers of this 2022 is the Motorola Edge 30 Pro , the most powerful mobile in value for money at the moment. The best of Qualcomm comes with the camera as a pending issue, but Motorola's proposal is convincing and will be talked about in the highest range.

• Good for the stereo.
• The main camera seems really off-road to us, and good for the optical stabilization

• We do not understand the location of the physical buttons.
• The wide angle is very much in the shadow of the main one, especially in night scenes
• The autonomy is less than expected and part of the blame lies with the 144 Hz

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 -8.7

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 is practically half the price of its older brother . It has the same processor, a fairly similar photographic section and at the concept level it is not as cumbersome or heavy . It is a 6.7-inch mobile designed to be carried easily in your pocket. For just over 1,000 euros you get one of the best folding on the market.

• The hinge design seems even sturdier.
• The value for money is more than acceptable.
• In general terms, it is a balanced mobile.

• We continue with a very fair autonomy.
• The warming is the same or even higher than last year.
• The cameras improve slightly, but are still behind the top range.

Realme 9 Pro+ -8.6

A mid-range with high-end ambition. The Realme 9 Pro + is a commitment to autonomy, the photographic section and the 60W fast charge. Complete and versatile , a terminal that convinced us in its analysis, and that has good cards to win in the middle segment.

LITTLE F4 GT -8.5

The F4 GT is one of the most ambitious high-end models, on paper. Its only sin is having a camera of not much quality, but the physical triggers, the 120W load and the design make it a great alternative.

LITTLE F4 -8.4

The POCO F4 has nothing to envy to terminals that cost almost twice as much. It is a medium-high range , with one of the best processors on the market and a simply spectacular general balance. Secure purchase for little money.

OnePlus has hit the nail on the head with the new OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G . We were convinced by its performance, its layer of customization , and the camera system lives up to what is required in this price range. One of the surprises of the year.

Huawei P50 Pro-8.3

Huawei continues to be penalized for not having Google or 5G services. For those who can live with alternatives, the P50 Pro is one of the most ambitious alternatives in the high-end . The photographic section is solid, outstanding performance and differential design.

The successor to one of the most popular phones of 2021, the POCO X3 Pro , is now called the POCO X4 Pro , with the surname 5G. It arrives with the intention of becoming a best seller, betting everything on AMOLED and the camera , leaving aside the dose of power that we found last year.

Realme 9i -8.2

Despite being a humble mobile, the Realme 9i surprised us with power, autonomy and fast charging . An economic proposal below 200 euros.

• The oleophobic treatment of the rear is not very effective.
• Instead of a macro lens, we prefer a wide angle.

Xiaomi POCO M4 Pro 8.0

The POCO M4 Pro is POCO's cheapest offering for its 5G range . A terminal straddling the entry range and the mid-range. Great battery, AMOLED screen and the design and photographic section as outstanding points. A great phone for less than 200 euros.
